Fuel line flush earns driver large fine

Apr. 10, 1:45 p.m. – RCMP pulled over a vehicle for speeding south of Russell. While pulled over RCMP requested a roadside screening – which the driver failed. They were brought back to the detachment to do a more complex test which the driver passed. As a result the 17-year-old driver was charged for: speeding - $298, open liquor - $237, consumption of liquor under 18 - $672 and $113 for being an intermediate driver and having a blood alcohol content. A 72 hour license suspension was also given and the matter is now before MPI.
