Wolverines active at trade deadline
Waywayseecappo Wolverines, Posted on January 13, 2020
With less than two months to go in the season, the Wayway Wolverines pushed their chips all in on the season, making several deadline deals to improve their squad for the playoff push.
The one area many throught the team would want to augment was in goal. Head coach and general manager Taylor Harnett addressed that issue, bringing in Colin Ahern from the AJHL, adding some veteran depth to help out his young starter.
“Liam Tereposky is probably one of the youngest players in the league,” says Harnett. “That’s a lot to throw at him – to put him into that starting roll. We felt we needed to bring in someone with some veteran experience to kind of take the load off him a bit.
“I think Tereposky is going to be one of the top goaltenders in our league in the near future,” he added. “(Ahern) was an opportunity that came up, and we couldn’t pass it up.”
