The Parkland Rangers snapped a three-game losing streak, last week, and came close to winning a second game on the weekend.

Taggert Plouffe scored twice in the shootout to lift the Rangers to a 3-2 shootout victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings, Wednesday in Brandon.

The teams traded goals in regulation with Cayden Glover and Mitch Thiessen staking the Wheat Kings to one-goal leads only to have Parkland answer back on goals from Jayce Legaarden and Hayden Lacquette.

Deniz Ntelioglou gave Brandon a lead in the shootout, but Plouffe scored the equalizer in the third round to extend the shootout. He scored again in the fifth round to give Parkland the win.
