How convincing was Dauphin’s recent 11-2 thumping over the Selkirk Steelers? At the conclusion of the game, the Kings had actually turned their team plus-minus from a minus nine to an even zero.

One of the architects of this masterful game was Brandon’s Carter Sawchuk. The 19-year-old forward had a breakout performance, scoring four times and adding a helper for good measure.

So when was the talented forward’s last four-game effort?

“It’s funny, my Dad texted me right after the game with a picture of when I was in atom, so I was nine or 10 years old,” says Carter, who was presented the game puck from the trainer at the end of the contest. “He told me that’s the last time I got four goals in a game.”
